12 Weeks and 3 Months!

Where does the time go...?? I'm almost positive I say this every month but seriously my baby is 3 months old!!! We do not have an appointment this month so I'm not sure how much he weighs or how long he is but trust me he is growing...to me he looks HUGE :)

Mac is really starting to develop a sweet personality! He is always smiling in the morning and is generally a really happy boy! We are so in love I just wish the time would slow down!!!

First week of school!

Mac started school last week and I went back to work...it was a TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH did I mention TOUGH week. I cried a lot and I'm not afraid to admit it. I always said I wanted to go back to work and when the time came I was second guessing myself BUT I think this will be good for both of us. Good for him b/c he is getting more interaction and meeting new friends :) Good for me b/c I'm actually getting a shower before noon!

Luckily Mac's school is located right in my building. He rides to work with me in the morning and I can go see him anytime I want during the day. Most days I go at least twice to either feed him or just play with him. He is always happy (unless he's hungry) and the ladies there just eat him up. All it all it's a pretty good situation...we shall see how long it last!

Oh and Mac if you're reading this 20 years from now.... I most certainly sent you to school on your first day in a smocked bubble ;) Don't worry there is plenty more where that came from!
I survived the first week and to be honest the second week wasn't any easier! I now officially live for the weekends!

A 30th birthday and 4th of July

On June 25th we celebrated on our good friend's 30th birthday! This was my first big night out and it did not disappoint. Let's just say I'm glad my Mom came in town to spend the night b/c 6am came REAL early the next morning!!!! Katie did such a wonderful job with the party. Her and Ryan LOVE Vegas (especially RJ) so she went with a Vegas theme! She set up craps, black jack and roulette tables. I'm glad we were playing with fake money! Here are a few pictures from the evening.

Mac was ready for us to leave so he could spend some time with his Nana
I think this is the first picture of just us in over 3 months!!
I did not take any pictures at the actual party but it was fabulous!
The next weekend we celebrated America's birthday!! Sunday we attended a cookout at Beth and Casey's house. 7 adults and 3.5 kids! Beth and Casey have a 6 month old little girl Molly, Jonathan and Amanda have an almost 2 year old little boy Myers with another little boy due in next month and we of course have Mac! It was a good time and the kids seemed to get along ;)
Molly, Myers & Mac

Here are a few snapshots before we left the house for the cookout.

Yes - my husband has a handle bar mustache.....he shaved his lovely creation for the Peachtree race the next day.

The next morning we got up and ran the Peachtree. This was our third year doing this and although it is HOT and HUMID and I hadn't ran more than 3 miles since giving birth it was a lot of fun! I did not beat my time from last year but I figured 10 weeks postpartum it's an accomplishment just to get out there ;)

A big shout out to Amanda for bringing Mac to race for us!! I mentioned early that she is 8.9 months pregnant AND she has an almost 2 year old but she still managed to get herself and both boys up, dressed, feed and at the race by 840!!! THANK YOU!!!

11 Weeks

Last Wednesday Mac was 11 weeks old....he will be 12 weeks tomorrow and 3 months in 8 days....I can't believe it. I start work back on Monday....something else I can't believe. How does 12 weeks fly by so fast?? Oh well I think (hope and pray) that this will be good for us. I know it will be but that is a completely different post. Right now I'm going to enjoy my last week at home.

Father's Day - way late!!!

Grant doesn't post on this blog...to be honest I'm not sure if he even reads it - Haha! This means I can pretty much write whatever I want and although I'm not a Father I think Grant had a super First Father's Day!

I should have taken a picture of Grant's Father's day gift....Mac did such a super job ;) We couldn't think of one particular thing to get him (Grant got me Mac's birthstone charm for my charm bracelet for Mother's day) so we just picked him up a bunch of small things! Sounds pretty lame but Mac had a great idea. We wrapped all of Daddy's presents in one big box and on the top of the box we wrote - "Why I think you are the best Daddy in the world!!!". When he opened the box each little gift was wrapped in tissue paper with a picture of him and Mac and little saying attached to each picture/gift telling him why he is in fact the best daddy in the world! I used the following pictures and sayings ;)

"Because you're a Champ!!"

"Because we are so alike!!"
"Because you make me laugh!!!"
"Most of all because you love me!!"

The above picture is one of my favorites! Mac woke up super early one morning (this was around 4am)I was downstairs so Grant picked him up out of his bassinet to comfort him and they both feel back asleep ;)

After Grant opened his presents we met up with his parents for a Father's day breakfast!

After breakfast Grant wanted to go to Porter for a beer tasting. It was his day so Mac and I obliged ;)

I didn't get to see my Daddy on Father's day but he knows he is pretty awesome and I love him very much!!!

Week 10 catch up!

Okay - today Mac is actually 11 weeks but I have a ton to catch up on...as usual. I'm sure my child will read this one day and wonder why I was always so late blogging! In my defense I only have 1.5 weeks left home with my sweet boy so I am using every second to spend with him and blogging takes a backseat but I have a few post planned for today!

So here is the Macster at 10 weeks. He is smiling more and really starting to develop a sweet personality! You wouldn't know it from looking at these pictures but I promise he does smile but for some reason I can never catch it on camera!!

He looks so big in this picture ;(!!!!
