Technical Difficulties

No – I have not been ignoring my blog, quite the opposite actually! I’ve been dying to do a post on all the fabulous baby showers, new pictures of the nursery and of course show off my 34 and 35 week belly but I CAN’T!!! Our computer is dead…D-E-A-D. My dear husband plans on taking it in this week to get fixed so hopefully I can update with some pictures soon! Not to mention last week my doctor went ahead and scheduled me for a C-Section last week so I have lots to catch up on!

I might try to sneak a post with pictures in at lunch one day...we'll see! I only have 17 days of work left...Yippee let the count down begin :)

Nursery Sneak Peak!!!

Let me start off by saying the nursery is no where near complete but we did get it painted and the furniture put together so we are heading in the right direction! I absolutely LOVE how it is turning out! It is completely different than I imagined. Funny how you change your mind on so many things once you actually get pregnant!! The nursery all started with the fabric for the chair and it just kind of went from there. The only major issue we had was picking the color of the furniture. I wanted white Grant wanted dark or black so we ended up going with espresso. I love it!

Here is the room all cleared out and all of Grant's stuff off the walls. This is what we started with!

This is after the panelling (not sure what you would call it) was put up. You can see Greta's butt in the bottom of this picture - ha!

This was right after the painters - I love the color!!!! It is a very light oatmeal!

The bookcase will go between these two windows!

Sorry this pic is so crappy it was taken with my Iphone. Here is the dresser. We are actually using this as the changing table as well!

My favorite part of the room!! I love his glider and his monogrammed pillow makes my heart happy ;)

Here is the crib. Not sure if you can see the bedding but it is VERY simple. White with green trim. His sheets are polka dot. The table to the right will NOT stay in the nursery. Grant was using it to hold his ipod speakers while he was putting the furniture together. Also his golf clubs you see in the right corner of the picture will be gone as well ;)

I wanted something very simple and very calming!

Remember - this is just a sneak peak. We are still waiting on curtains, bookcase, things for the walls and I'm replacing the ceiling fan with a light fixture. Lots of stuff to do but so exciting! I know that the room is more for the parents than the baby and he isn't going to care if it is complete or not....blah blah....I care and I hope I can get it just the way I want it before Mac decides to make his appearance!
Once we are finished I will post the final product!

33 Weeks!!

I know I say this every week but I can't believe how FAST time is flying by!! This little man will be here in less than 43 days! My heart literally skips a beat when I think about it!! Mac is about the size of a honeydew and weights around 4-5 lbs or so the website says. I can tell that he is quickly running out of room. Instead of the big time kicks I now feel and see lumps form on my stomach. I'm guessing he is stretching and trying to reposition himself, it's getting tight in there!!!

Also I realized after rereading my last post that I never posted my 32 week picture - idiot! So I have added both my 32 and 33 week pic below! I got back to the doc next Wed for my 34 week appointment. I'm looking forward to seeing my regualr doctor!!
32 weeks -
33 weeks -

As you can tell from the pictures the nursery has changed - I will post a sneak peak of the nursery next ;) I LOVE IT!

Big Catch Up Post!

Mac and I celebrated 32 weeks yesterday! We had another ultrasound to see if he had moved and our little stubborn boy is still butt down and head up :) Oh well, he does have time to move but he is running out room so if he is going to flip he needs to do it in the next two weeks!!!! Other than him sitting breech we had a great doc appointment! He is growing just like he should and is measuring right on time! We even got to see him practicing his breathing!!! I still feel pretty good at 32 weeks. I can tell I’m starting to get a little tired at the end of the day but other than that not much to complain about. As you can tell from the pictures I am certainly growing!!!!

I hate that I passed 30 and 31 weeks with no blog post, however I do have pictures! We celebrated 30 weeks at the beautiful Ritz Carlton in Naples, FL. Grant was invited down to spend the week by one of his carriers b/c he is pretty awesome. I don’t brag on him enough but I’m one lucky girl!! He did a whole lot of golfing and I did a whole lot of relaxing at the spa and/or the pool. It was FABULOUS! Exactly what I needed before all the craziness begins with showers, nursery stuff, etc.

Pool side for dinner

Grant sinking a putt during the ACE Classic Pro-Am. I was very proud of him! After his round we had lunch in the club house and a lady commented on how great his putt was at 18. It was sweet!

30 weeks - taken in Naples

31 weeks - don't worry our nursery no longer looks like this! Nursery pictures coming soon!

Speaking of nursery stuff... ours FINALLY got painted AND we picked up/put together our furniture. Well that is not completely true... We were very lucky to have some great friends help us out. Katie and Ryan meet us at Koo Koo Bears to help load up the furniture, move it upstairs and then put it together. THANKS KATIE AND RJ – Y’ALL ARE THE BEST! I'm still waiting on some stuff I ordered to hang on the wall and for his bookcase but it is coming together. I love how it is turning out it is so calm and relaxing, hopefully it will rub off on Mr. Mac!

I have more catch up posts planned this week! I had my first baby shower last Saturday in Warner Robins and I have another one this Sunday! Not to mention we had not one but TWO 4/D ultrasounds b/c our little guy was being shy (stubborn). He is one handsome little boy!!! I also have a big nursery post planned! Lots of fun stuff coming up and I will be one busy girl! It’s hard to believe that we only have 8 weeks left!!! I am going to be better about updating b/c I want to document everything that is going on right now. I feel like it will all be over in a flash and I’m not going to lie it kind of makes me sad. I like having a constant companion ;)

Sorry for the super long post - that is what happens when you don't post in over a week!

29 weeks!

This past Tuesday (I'm late as usual) marked my 29th week of pregnancy. Only 11 more weeks to go! Mac has been moving more and more which makes this mama happy! He loves to beat up my right rib cage and I'm fine with that. The more he moves the more reassurance I have! In other good news I passed my glucose test so no GD!!!

Here is Mac and Me at 29 weeks! I am really growing!

As you can see we haven't made much progress in the nursery. We have the painters scheduled... Once it's painted we can pick up the furniture and start piecing it together! I am very excited.

This weekend we have our 3/4 D ultrasound. I'm excited to get a good look at Mr. Mac! I hear it can be kind of creepy ;) I will be posting pictures this weekend! Other than that I'm looking forward to a relaxing!

28 Weeks - 12 more to go!!

Hello THIRD trimester! It is hard to believe that we are in our last trimester of this pregnancy! To think that this journey started in 2008 and here we are in February 2011 and I’m in my 3rd trimester!!! That just makes my heart happy!!!

Below are pictures of me at 27 weeks and 28 weeks. I forgot to take my picture for 27 weeks so you only got a belly shot since I was I my pj’s and I had already washed my face!

27 weeks

28 weeks and a sneak peek of the nursery!

Today I had my 28 week appointment and glucose test. I must say the drink was really not that bad. I was a little nervous when the nurse told me I had to finish it in 5 minutes but it tasted like Orange soda so it didn’t take long. My Mom has been wanting to hear the heartbeat so she came with me today. It worked out b/c I had someone to talk to me while I waited an hour for my blood draw.

I don't know I've mentioned this before but I love my doctor! I started rotating doctors a couple appointments ago. Today I got to meet another doctor and I am very pleased. So far I have met 4 out of 6 and I like them all very much. This is a good thing as it is rare that your main doctor will be on call the day you go into labor! Today I met with Dr. S. She was wonderful! I was a little nervous when she suggested I get an ultrasound b/c I expressed concerns that I haven’t felt him as much as I should. Due to my placenta being in the front (sorry if that is TMI) it is normal to only feel the strong movements but they wanted to check anyways. I’m so glad my Mom was there or I would have had a major breakdown. Everything looked GREAT – Mac is growing just like he should. He weighs roughly 2lbs and 12ozs! The only issue they see is he is still breech. He was breech at my 20 week ultrasound which is normal but they like to see them move into position between 28 and 30 weeks. This does not mean he won’t or can’t move but b/c my little man is breech I get to see him again in 4 weeks ;) This is huge. Normally you do not get another ultrasound after 20 weeks and I get two maybe 3 more!!!! They will check him at my 32 week appointment and again at my 36 week. If he hasn’t moved then we will discuss what our options are moving forward. They do have procedures they can do to move him but will not be able to do that with me b/c of my placenta being on the front. They are afraid it would detach and that would B-A-D! So we sit and wait….if he moves he moves... it’s all up to him now. On a side note I was born 2.5 months early b/c the placenta detached and I was breech!! So he can hang out where he is and I’m fine with that!

One perk of the 3rd trimester is I start going to the doctor every two weeks now! I LOVE to hear his little heartbeat!!! We are in the homestretch and I have so much to do! I will have a nursery update coming soon and our furniture arrived this week!!! Grant and I will have lots to keep us busy and April will be here before we know it!!! I will leave you with an ultrasound picture – he was moving all around and opening and closing his mouth. Sad that I can’t feel every movement like some but I am just so happy with what I’ve got I’m NOT COMPLAINING!

I know - he is handsome ;)
