My BABY is 2 months old!!

So June 20th the Macster celebrated 2 months of life. I can hardly believe that he has been with us for 2 months!!! I look at pictures when we first brought him home and I barely remember him being that tiny!!! Mac did AMAZING at his two month check up. He took his shots like a champ!!! I had to hide behind Grant so the doctor couldn't see me cringing!! He cried for maybe 15 seconds and then he was fine....such a big boy. I guess I need to work on being a big girl!

Here are his 2 months stats -
10 lbs 12 ozs
22 3/4 inches long
Head cir - 15

Just to compare he was only 7lbs 4ozs and 20 inches long when he was born so he is really growing!!! The doctor was pleased with his stats and told me not to worry that BF babies are normally a little longer and leaner and he was doing wonderfully! The doctor also put the smack down on us and told me I needed to move him out of our room and put him in his crib at night and for all of his naps. He also wanted me to swaddle him and put him down with no sleep aids. At first I thought he was crazy but I'm happy to report that for the last 5 days Mac has slept from 10/1030 to 630/730 every night!! We actually have to wake him up most mornings to get on a regular feeding schedule. I hope this last but if it doesn't at least I got a good week of solid sleep! The first morning I woke up in a panic that maybe the monitor wasn't working and I didn't hear him crying for me...nope....rushed in his room and he was still fast asleep!

Other 2 month things I would like to remember:

He wakes up smiling now and I LOVE IT!!!!
He stays awake longer and is more playful.
He loves his swing
He LOVES laying on the couch and watching the ceiling fan!
He is finally wearing 3 month clothes and all of his newborn clothes have to be packed up!
Did I mention he smiles all the time ;)???
He HATES tummy time
He is SO close to rolling over!

I only have 3 weeks left at home with him. It's bittersweet. I'm ready to get back into a routine and I'm very lucky that our daycare is in my building but it is going to be difficult leaving him. I'm trying not to think about it!!!

Here are his 2 month shots!

He is getting so big! He is finally starting to get some rolls on his thighs and I love it!

Future blackmail....The Triple Threat

I wanted to document this so I can embarrass him later in life....like at his rehearsal dinner.

We had our first big blow out or as I like to call it the Triple threat on June 14th. Why do I remember the exact day? Other than the fact that nothing like this has ever happened to me it just so happens that I had a repair man in the house who witnessed the entire debacle. Let me explain. The triple threat is when you child blows out his diaper so bad that it goes through his diaper AND his pjs and into your hand. Okay I can handle that, it has happened before (I hate HUGGIES) but it gets worse that was just threat 1. Threat 2 - As you're changing his blow out he pees all over himself and I mean ALL OVER. The stream hit him square in his mouth and it was so much and came out so fast that it soaked his outfit and his HAIR!!!! My poor child was soaked in urine. Remember the repair man..?? At this point he is trying not to laugh as I'm still trying to have a conversation about our air conditioner and trying to clean my child off for the second time in about 3 minutes. Once I wipe him down with wipes and stripped him down to nothing but his diaper I knew I would have to give him a bath but couldn't do anything until the very nice repair man left. Last but certainly not least is threat 3 - I sat Mac down on the couch propped up on his boppy so I could finish my business with the repair man. As I'm signing the invoice the repair man just starts to laugh. As he is apologizing through his laughter I look over at my son who has PROJECTILE vomited ALL OVER HIMSELF!! It covered his face, his hair and his chest.

Nice Mac...at least he got it all out in a matter of 5 minutes. He was happy as a clam after all of this and the repair man I'm sure had a funny story to tell after he left my house. Needless to say I was not in the running for mother of the year that morning. Oh well he survived ;)

I'm sure this will not be the last time something like this happens. I'm just glad the first time it happened I was at home!

Quick and dirty catch up!

I decided I would combine the 6,7&8 week into one big post. I'm sure that most people don't actually read what I have to say as much as they want to look at the pictures so here we go...quick and dirty ;)

These are out of order and I don't want to push my luck with blogger. They are pretty self explanatory.

I had to take a picture of the back of this cute outfit that my brother and nephew gave him! We called him crabby butt all day. Cheesy...maybe but it made him laugh when we would say it so it was worth it!

Obviously 6 was not a good week....
It is crazy to look at these pictures and see how much he has changed in just 3 short weeks. He'll be driving before I know it ;)

5 weeks!!

Mac will be 6 weeks on Wednesday and I realized I hadn't posted his 5 week picture yet...oops!

This week of his life was very busy!! We had TWO doctors appointments! For the first one I had to take Mr. Mac back to the doctor for a weight check. Mac weight 7lbs 40z when he was born, dropped to 6lbs 10oz by the time we left the hospital, shot up to 6lbs 150z at his 6 day appointment and weighed in at a whopping 7lbs 8oz at his one month check up! The doc wasn't too concerned since he was above his birth weight but wanted me to come back just to make sure. Well Mac did not disappoint! He tipped the scale at 8lbs 4oz...he gained almost a pound in less than a week!!!! I was so proud! Come to find out I had to fatten myself up in order to fatten him up....my doctor told me I needed a chick fila milkshake - ha!

Our second appointment we had to go to the Children's Hospital for a Hip ultrasound. Our doctor likes for all breech babies to have an ultrasound just to be safe. I was so nervous! Hip issues were something I read about the minute I found out that Mac was breech and most likely not turning. He was so brave and did such a good job!! Everything looked good with his ultrasound so there was no need for me to stress!

Here he is on the exam table...notice his little identification bracelet on his ankle ;)

Both of our appointments went well and he is a healthy and happy little boy!

Seriously....where does the time go???

ONE MONTH - are you kidding me??? How did this happen? My baby boy is already one month old soon to be 5 weeks. I know this isn't that big of a deal but it has gone by in a blink of an eye and like I say every week it makes me sad!

Here he is at 4 weeks...he was not happy. We didn't get one single picture of him not screaming...oh well we still love him!

I wasn't the only one not happy about him being a month old....we do have some happy pictures of him but decided to stick with the theme....

Everybody was kung fu fighting....HA!

We have really enjoyed this past month - I can't believe it is going by so fast but I'm so thankful that he is a healthy little boy!!

3 weeks and Mothers day!

Mac celebrated 3 weeks last Wednesday! It is hard to believe that he is almost a month old. We introduced the bottle to Mac this week. I was a little sad about this but it was time that I got a break ;) The first night he didn't take it but the second night and third night went much better. This also gives Grant some bonding time with him so all in all it is a good thing! I am still absolutely LOVING being at home with this little man. I think I've said this before but it is hard remembering what life was like before April 2oth, 2011! He is truly a blessing and we could not be happier! We go back to the doctor this Friday so I will have his stats!

Mother's day was fabulous! I remember thinking 3 years ago that I may never get to celebrate this holiday so it was extra special for me! Grant made me the most amazing breakfast while I sat and snuggled with Mister! We had lunch with my in-laws and then just enjoyed hanging out the rest of the day. It was perfect!

My amazing breakfast!

Grant and Mac on Mother's day!

Me and my precious boy on Mother's day!

All in all things are still going well! Mac has started sleeping 4-5 hour stretches every so often so that helps A LOT! He really is a sweet baby!! We are so in love!
